That's the file that defines the cpc hierarchy. What I am looking for is the current cpc assignments for each patent. The uspto's file does that but only for utility patents. I think it's updated quarterly. What I'm looking for would be cpc assignments for plant patents (~50% seem to have cpcs) and reissues of utility and plant patents. I wrote to IPD@uspto.gov but was told that this data is not available from the uspto.

The patentsview api loads the bulk xml grant patent files but ignores their at-issue classifications.  Instead they rely on the bulk cpc and bulk uspc files to get the current classifications of each system. It's troubling to me that the api is missing some cpcs and uspcs (for lack of a bulk source and updated bulk source respectively).

Does anyone know if there is bulk source of cpcs for non utility patents? The uspto's file just contains utility patent's cpcs https://bulkdata.uspto.gov/data/patent/classification/cpc/

Reissued patents and patent patents seem to be excluded. (Try this patft search apt/6 and cpc/A01H5/02 so see a sample of plant patents with cpcs.)

As I mentioned in my similar post about uspcs, this lack of bulk data affects the patentsview api. They use the bulk cpc file above so they only have cpcs for utility patents.
