Overview

The PIUG Northeast Conference, held in Central New Jersey, is a three-day event beginning with an STN Patent Forum, followed by a full day of plenary talks, ending with a day of vendor-sponsored workshops. PIUG brings together experts in the areas of chemistry, biology, engineering and intellectual property. It is an excellent forum to learn and share best practices in searching, retrieving, visualizing and reporting patent information. The exhibit hall highlights our vendors expertise and products. The key objectives of this meeting are to provide opportunities for learning, professional development and networking.

Early Bird registration – no later than August 25 2017.
No refund will be given if the request is received after 11:59 pm EDT Sunday, September 3, 2017. Prior to that date, an administrative fee of 10% will be charged and 90% of the funds will be refunded.

Hotel

The APA Hotel Woodbridge in Iselin, NJ, is 0.5 miles from Metro Park Train Station and Metro Park Station for the bus lines. Complimentary shuttle service is available from either place to and from the hotel. See the travel page for more options to get to the conference site. The hotel has complimentary parking available on site as well.

Room rates

The hotel offers a room rate of $179 per room during the conference and up to one day before and one day after depending on room availability: arrive as early as Sunday, September 24 and depart on Wednesday, September 27, 2017. If a later departure date is needed, the rate may be extended depending on hotel room availability so inquire with the hotel early. All rates are per room/night and are subject to 7% New Jersey Sales Tax and 8% Hotel Occupancy Tax.

The cutoff date for conference reservations rate is Wednesday, September 6, 2017 so be sure to register for your room early.

The hotel policy is 3:00 pm check-in and 12:00 pm check-out and to provide storage space for guests who arrive early or depart after the requested check-out time with advance notice.
