Title: Using the Derwent Manual Codes on STNext®
Abstract: The Derwent Manual Codes are a powerful tool to be used for subject searching in the Derwent World Patents Index database. These codes are intellectually applied by the Derwent subject specialists, and cover the main inventive feature of the invention, as well as significant applications of the invention. This e-Seminar will explain the hierarchical structure of the Derwent Manual Code system, and will include examples on how to find and search the appropriate codes(s) for a particular search strategy. This e-Seminar is geared to searchers of all experience levels, from the novice to the most sophisticated of searchers.
