The Unitary Patent (UP) and Unified Patent Court (UPC) will introduce centralised patent protection and enforcement in Europe.

As widely expected, the start of the Sunrise Period has been postponed by two months, from 1 January 2023 to 1 March 2023. In turn, entry into force of the UPCA is also postponed by two months, from 1 April 2023 to 1 June 2023.
