Abstract:

Moving from the proverbial data to information to competitive intelligence and insights requires more than the latest artificial intelligence algorithm.  It requires (a) CI analysis driven by IP savvy people with strategic intent, (b) a cost-effective workflow process with well-defined roles and responsibilities, and (c) efficient use of appropriate technology.  The CI analysis enables informed decision-making for competitive advantage.

This advanced workshop provides lessons learned for anyone transitioning to or expanding CI capabilities.  The workshop provides a roadmap for designing early warning systems, among other topics.  The workshop also advocates for both "IT driven statistical quantitative analytics” and “patent analyst driven qualitative analysis” with examples.  Finally, the workshop provides an opportunity to discuss best practices and get answers to your questions.
