The Journal of the Patent and Trademark Resource Association (JPTRCA) is seeking contributions for the upcoming volume year (Vol. 31). Topic proposals should be submitted to David Irvin (dirv@nmsu.edu), with finished manuscripts due by Feb. 15th. Articles should be submitted in one of three categories: Scholarly Articles, Featured Articles, or Book Reviews.
The JPTRCA publishes articles and reviews in the area of intellectual property – primarily relating to patents and trademarks – of interest to information specialists in the field. It serves as a means to share related research, successful programs, and book reviews.
The scope of publications is broad: Authors can submit to the Journal in the areas of:
· patent analysis
· Intellectual Property (IP) practice
· search strategies
· open source and industry standards tied to patents
· innovation
· history of IP
· patents and trademarks licensing
· scholarly communications and/or frameworks for information literacy related to patents
· IP librarianship
· or other areas.
Word count for scholarly articles is a minimum of 2,000 words. Manuscripts for featured or “from the field” articles should be between 500 and 1000 words.
