I am very pleased to be able to tell you that the expanded 4th edition of "Information Sources in Patents" has been published by de Gruyter Saur, Germany.  It is available directly from the publisher's website at https://www.degruyter.com/view/title/529978 at the present time, and I expect that other online book retailers will be able to fulfil orders soon.

The new edition has expanded to over 650 pages, and includes completely new material on sources of patent information from Africa, South America, the Middle East and additional parts of south Asia.  Existing chapters on the Trilateral countries, the G8, and Asia have all been updated.  Source-by-source reviews of coverage have been revised and updated, as well as new Annexes on patent office websites around the globe.

This is vital reading for anyone wishing to understand the patent documentation from a large range of major authorities, and the online sources covering them.
