This is the inaugural session co-organized by the Patent Information Users Group, Inc. (PIUG) and the Patent Information Annual Conference of China (PIAC) to be held in conjunction with the 7th PIAC in Beijing, China this year. For more information about PIAC, please click here. The PIUG-PIAC Asia 2016 Session will provide opportunities to learn from experienced patent information professionals about key considerations for determining freedom-to-operate in the chemical and biological subject areas, particularly in the pharmaceutical industry, and the use of patent analytics tools to support business decision-making. The keynote address will provide an overview of PIUG, including benefits of becoming a member, opportunities to attend PIUG conferences, and PIUG's varied activities to engage and network with colleagues around the world in academia, industry, government and consulting services.
