Overview
We are very pleased to announce the third annual PIUG 2009 Boston Biotechnology meeting, to be held on Wednesday, February 11, 2009, hosted by AMGEN, Cambridge, Massachusetts. Due to space considerations this meeting is limited to 100 attendees. The focus of this one-day meeting will be sequence searching and is entitled, "Sequence Searching and Beyond: Build a Better Searcher, Build a Better Search." Following are examples of issues to be addressed in this conference:
- What Must One Know To Be a Sequence Searcher?
- Developing a Sequence Search Strategy: Proteins; Antibodies; Fusion or Hybrid Molecules
- Combining Sequence Searching With Other Searches (Keywords, Structure, Etc.)
- Working With Clients
- Developing a Lexicon
- Sources Used and Deciding Where to Search For What
- Is the Research Complete?
