PIUG 2008 Boston Biotechnology Meeting
Overview
We are very pleased to announce the second annual PIUG 2008 Boston Biotechnology meeting will be held on Thursday, February 14, 2008 hosted by Genzyme, Cambridge, MA. Due to space considerations this meeting is limited to 100 attendees. The focus of this one-day meeting will be sequence searching, particularly the following areas:
- The legal motivations for conducting sequence searching (freedom to operate, patentability, validity)
- Sequence database content (update, special coverage, collection policy)
- Sequence searching in patent offices
- Comprehensive sequence searching (tips and tricks)
- Interpreting, presenting and reporting sequence search results
- Top ten sequence searching related questions asked (from clients or searchers)
- Combining small molecule and sequence searching (e.g. drug candidates with potential protein and gene targets)
- Biotech info searching resources (evaluations/tools, fee-based or free)
- Searching target, antibodies, biotech devices, biotech formulations
Preliminary Details
- Meeting capacity: 100 registrants (pre-registration is strongly suggested; walk-ins are welcome)
- Registration ends: February 14, 2008
- Registration fee: $50 USD (members) and $90 USD (non-members)
